Community Champion Grants

Local Impact. Shared Mission. Real Change.

Submit Grant Application Now

Some of the most powerful work happens quietly.

It shows up in pocket parks, local rinks, church basements, and community centers. It’s led by neighbors, nonprofits, and volunteers who see a need and take action. The Community Champion Grants were created to support that kind of leadership.

These grants are available to 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations that share our commitment to honoring service, strengthening communities, and carrying forward the legacy of those who have served and sacrificed.

Grants range from $500 to $10,000 and are awarded monthly through our board’s decision process.

What We Fund

We focus on specific programs or projects that reflect meaningful impact. General operating support is less likely to be funded. We're looking for efforts that directly connect to the heart of our mission: supporting active duty service members, veterans, gold star families, and the communities they live in.

To apply, make sure your request:

  • Comes from a 501(c)(3) nonprofit
  • Uses our Standard Application
  • Is submitted by the 20th of the month to be considered for the next cycle
  • Reflects a purpose or program that aligns with our values

Examples of Grants We’ve Provided

Here are a few ways Community Champion Grants have helped create change:

  • Funding part of a skate ramp project in the Kountze Park neighborhood, where local residents created a safe place for kids to gather and play
  • Supporting youth hockey upgrades, including a new scoreboard and locker room improvements to enhance the experience for players and families
  • Sending out veteran care packages, filled with essentials and reminders that someone is looking out for them
  • Providing tournament sponsorships for veteran hockey teams, helping former service members stay connected and active through team sports
  • Contributing to service dog programs that match military veterans and retired first responders with trained companions who offer both emotional and practical support

This is just a small list of the over $150,000 we have distributed.

Before You Apply

We know how much time, energy, and heart goes into building programs that serve others. If you’re not sure whether your project is a fit, or if you need help with the application process, just ask. We’re here to support you through it.

If your mission is rooted in care, service, and community, this is a chance to do more of what you do best.

Corporal Daegan Page would have turned 27 this year. In his honor, we’re launching Objective 27, a campaign rooted in the values he lived by—service, dedication, and community.

Our goal is simple: find 27 donors willing to commit to $27 a month. But this isn’t just about numbers. It’s about creating real, lasting impact in the lives of veterans, military families, and communities who need it most.
